Todays resident is Frank shortly after joining the Inland Revenue in 1946 he was conscripted into the Royal Corps of Signals where he was posted to Kenya for 2 years. After being demobbed he returned to the Inland Revenue and then moved to the Post Office before he retired in 1988 he was Director of Counter Operations for the UK based in London.
Having married a Scottish “lass” in 1951 they moved to the south west coast of Scotland on his retirement. A huge fascination for Frank from an early age had been aircraft and flying so he took up flying lessons and at 63 obtained his civil pilots licence, he last flew solo when he was 75 years old. #derbyshire #carehome #resident #lifestory 💙
