Everyone at Wheathills House is very friendly and welcoming, and the home has a real family feel.
Proud to be Celebrating 40 years of providing Care to the local Community.
Established in 1984 by Janet and Roger Whitehouse, the Home is set in stunning rural Derbyshire. Wheathills House has seen many changes in the Social Care sector and the provision of Care over the Years, continuing to keep up to date with the ever changing Regulatory system whilst providing 24 hour Care to the Residents of the Home.
Owner and Manager Richard/Rebecca Whitehouse has over seen steady expansion of the Home, growing and extending over the years to the current capacity of 30 Beds. The original part of the home is a fine Victorian House dating back to 1898, all rooms offering en suite facilities, also benefiting from easy access Passenger Lift, and Chairlift to the upper floor.
The location of the home benefits from being only 4 miles from Derby City centre, whilst nestling in the beautiful foothills of the Ashbourne Peak District area.
One of the biggest challenges over the years was the Covid Pandemic, which was successfully over come, mainly due to the hard work and dedication of the entire Staff Team of over 30 members who steadfastly worked together to overcome the difficulties of providing Care throughout the pandemic, whilst continuing to maintain the high quality of service provision.
An important part of what we do here is creating individualised care plans and designing activities that will engage and inspire.
We continually to invest in training our team members to ensure we deliver the highest standards to our residents and their families.
